ENGINE LAUNCHES NEW CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR INSIGHT UNIT: ENGINE DECISIONS
22nd June 2010By Sophie Nurse
Engine this week announces the launch of Engine Decisions.
Engine Decisions is a new insight and research unit that uses a proprietary methodology combining social and behavioural psychology, social interaction computer simulation and neuroscientific observations to deliver clients a unique analysis of why and how consumers make choices.
Engine Decisions will deliver behaviour analysis, and resulting strategic communication recommendations on how to reach target consumers, for Engine clients across the private and public sectors.
The Engine Decisions working methodology is a development of techniques pioneered in Engine’s work for the Government on major public marketing campaigns.
A 20-strong team in Engine will be involved in the delivery of Engine Decisions. In addition, working alongside Engine’s own consumer, behavioural science and psychology experts will be Professor Paul Dolan, behavioural science expert at the London School of Economics’ Department of Social Policy. Also partnered with Engine in the delivery of Engine Decisions are consumer research agencies Neurosense, Decode Marketing and Work.
Announcing the launch of Engine Decisions, Engine Joint Chief Executive Debbie Klein said:
“Planning and building campaigns on the basis of a deep analysis of consumer decision making is at the heart of the Engine approach.
“Using Engine Decisions’ unique methodology, we are able to give brands and businesses an insight into the complex range of factors that determine consumers’ choices and so help them to develop their consumer communications and marketing strategies to deliver maximum results.”
